Robin Hood, 17 Again, Machete...

Firstly- I know I said I'd never watch Russel Crowe's Robin Hood but we all sat down and watched it the other night. Before watching it I cleared my head and told myself not to judge the film based on Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves as I knew that it wasn't a remake and I knew that there was no way that I'd enjoy the film as much as Robin Hood POT simply because it's one of my favourite films... So I was trying to be good and enjoy it as a separate thing to Prince of Thieves and I'm glad I did that because I really enjoyed the film! Along with a lot of other people I found Crowe's accent...amusing as it's in no way Northern and in some ways a little Irish!! I did like the cast although I'm not a fan of Cate Blanchett but Little John and the Friar were great! I thought that the story itself was really good and it was completely different to Prince of Thieves so if you do watch do what I did and forget about Prince of Thieves! So basically I was glad I watched it as I loved the story and the fights - they were very good!
Crowe's take on Costner's classic pose!

We watched Machete the other night and I really really enjoyed it! Lots of guns, explosions and gruesome killings! It was very entertaining! And I think my boyfriend enjoyed the sexy ladies that are in the film! The story gets a bit lost as there is a lot going on but it is a good film and if you like revenge and action Watch It! The cast is pretty cool as well apart from Lindsay Lohan...but her character does seem to reflect her real-life person! Jessica Alba is really cool int he film and I normally don't like Michelle Rodriguez but she was cool as well! So if you like explosions, hot girls, brutal killings and some cool Mexican slang then watch Machete!!!

Now for something a bit different - I was bored the other day so I looked on Sky Movies and 17 Again was on..Now I do like a bit of Zac Efron so I thought I'd give it a go as there was nothing else on! Surprisingly I really liked it and thought that Zac Efron was really good...quick run down of the story for you - Matthew Perry is going through a divorce with his childhood sweetheart, he has 2 kids in high school, he gets changed into being 17...instead of going back to the 80s he stays in the present which is cool as he goes to high school with his kids and helps them to help himself. It was really good as you never forgot that Zac Efron was actually a forty year old man which is obviously the main part of the story! It was funny and entertaining so it's worth a watch! The only problem I had with it is the ending as I'd like to know what his kids did as they were a big part of the story so you'd like to know what they did and if they succeeded (When you watch it you'll know what I mean). So yeah worth a watch!

Killers...

It's been ages since I last blogged! Not really sure why as I haven't been doing much - I've been getting back into exercising as I still want to lose loads more weight! I've been doing jigsaw puzzles and still watching Nat Geo Wild!
I haven't been watching that many films but I did watch Killers the other day - I put it on because I was bored and it was on Sky Anytime. I was doing a puzzle at the same time but I did really enjoy it. And that's not just because Ashton Kutcher is extremely hot in it!! I thought the characters were really good and easy to relate to and the story itself was cool! It was very Mr and Mrs Smith but Catherine Heigl's character added a different dimension and she made it hilarious! It's definitely worth watching for an "easy watching" film!

Tonight is the last episode of Game of Thrones which I am very excited about as the cliffhanger ending of last week's was intense! I think I've said in another blog how the endings make you want to watch the next one but this one was horrible as I wanted the next one right away but have had to wait for a week! I assume there will be another series - I hope so anyways as I've really enjoyed it! Richard Madden who plays Robb Stark has a new series out in England called Sirens which starts soon - it's a comedy and from the previews, it looks funny so I'll be giving that a go then I'll let you know how it is! Here is the trailers - http://www.channel4.com/programmes/sirens/articles/sirens-tv-trailers

My LoveFilm for this week is Machete which I'm really looking forward to watching as I remember the trailer they made for the Grindhouse production so I was really happy when they actually made it a feature length film! We probably won't watch it tonight because of Game Of Thrones but I will let you know how it is!
Now I need to get back to The Dog Whisperer then I need to work out! =D

The Road and others..

Firstly - We've been watching Game of Thrones which has been fun as we like to watch our series! -But...the first two episodes were gripping and amazing and now the pace has slowed down a bit...they have cliffhanger endings to ensure you watch the next one but it's a bit boring now! We have completely caught up now though so just have to wait for it to be on Sky Atlantic tomorrow night and it has started to get a bit more exciting since Lord Stark has been captured! I do recommend it as it is interesting but don't be fooled by the first two episodes as it does go a bit downhill after those!

Secondly - Last night I watched The Road as my boyfriend put it on and warned me how sad it was...it was very sad and depressing but really good and definitely worth watching and I didn't cry!!!! I can't really say more about it as there isn't much to the story so I would just give it away! Although there isn't much to the story it is still good and manages to not get boring! The cast is very good - especially the little boy and the film really makes you think...in a depressing way but still, it makes you think!
Thirdly- This morning my boyfriend and I watched Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs although we did miss the start (I'm not sure how much of it) but when we put it on, food had just started to fall from the sky! It was really good and really funny and I highly recommend it! It's not tooooo childish but obviously keep in mind that it's not made for adults so if you want scenes of a sexual nature and violence then stick with Game of Thrones!

Sims 3 Generations..

It feels like it's been a while since I last blogged - probably because I've been glued to my laptop screen playing Sims 3 Generations! I didn't think the game would be worth it but I have definitely changed my mind!
Yes it's just extras to what you could already do but they are cool! There are some cool new houses and stuff to buy and even more CAS stuff which is sweeet! I was also happily surprised to see some new rewards as well such as the "Young Again" potion and the mid-life crisis stuff is pretty cool as well!

I still cheat though which kind of defies the whole point of the game but I still get addicted..! I play it pretty much all day everyday! I am also very excited to hear that in Autumn another expansion pack is coming - Pets!! This is what I've always wanted as I loved Pets on Sims2 but what's better is that you can have horses which I love so I am very much looking forward to it! Here's the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2qDluiIzys I love that you can ride the horses and stuff!
It's not very cool that I play Sims3 so much as I am really enjoying my new book - Jilly Cooper's latest - Jump! I also watch Nat Geo Wild all day but that's cool because I learn loads about different animals!
I'm going to leave this blog short because I feel like playing some Guitar Hero on the Wii then I'll have to choose between Sims or my book! But yeah basically it's a thumbs up from me for Generations!

The Dilemma...

Last night my boyfriend and I watched The Dilemma...I saw the trailers for it a while ago and knew straight away that I didn't want to see it..mainly because I'm not a fan of Winona Ryder!
My boyfriend really likes Kevin James and Vince Vaughn so he put it on last night - I'd already warned him that it looked rubbish but hey...I just played Spider Solitaire while it was on!
And the film was awful...!!!!
The story is pretty bad...they don't have just one thing going on...so you're bored for most of it...the funny bits are shown in the trailer...I think we laughed out loud maybe once?! Some parts are kind of sad but it's mostly a really boring film which isn't funny and just generally rubbish..! It's not often that I want to turn a film off but I really wanted to with this one! My boyfriend didn't enjoy it either so it was all round not good!! There isn't even anything else to say on it!!

Although we did watch Dread the other night...that's worth watching, it's a scaryish psychological film which is really good, I won't say anymore because you should just watch it!  Here's the trailer... and don't be put off that there is someone from Twilight in it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SC_COT2WXfU&feature=related
